Is there something I'm not doing correctly here? Nothing I type into RCon yields any kind of output at all. Even typing "version" doesn't work (i'm also aware commands are case-sensitive). ![]() To stop the iptrace daemon with SRC enter the following: stopsrc -s iptrace 6. To start the iptrace daemon with the System Resource Controller (SRC), enter: startsrc -s iptrace -a '/tmp/nettrace' 5. I get no errors, but after typing the command and hitting enter, nothing happens. The ipreport command can be used to transform the trace file generated by iptrace to human readable format: ipreport trace.out > trace.report 4. A list of RCon commands can be found by typing 'help' into the RCon. To do so, you must first be logged in as the Server Administrator. You may do so via a command line interface that opens when the RCon window is selected from Server Admin/RCon. ![]() Nothing I type into RCon does anything at all. The RCon, or Remote Console, is used to send server commands directly to your Ventrilo server. I know what commands to use (found them on this forum) but none of them seem to work. I've been trying to ban someone who is harassing our vent server, though of course he leaves the server before I'm able to ban him - so searching this forum I've found the best way to do that is to use RCon and type in some commands and get it to log the appropriate stuff, so that I can get his IP and ban him that way. I'm admin on an up-to-date Vent server - I'm a server admin and have "Issue RCon commands" capabilities, and so far all my admin abilities and such work fine. I searched this forum for a while and didn't find anyone having my problem. ![]() Suppose I'm a bit new to having admin privileges on vent servers, but otherwise I'm fairly savvy.
